putting back where it was

Sometimes I see people struggle to find their EFTPOS card at the checkout counter. They say they used it today so it should be in here or something like that. Usually they have it in their mobile case or purse but not in the space where it is supposed to be. For me it is quite interesting to see people to look for something because it tells me a lot. Once you decide where you keep your card, you need to put it back there. I know you know this. However it is not always easy to do this, right? If you find it difficult to put back something where it should be, there might be an issue you can fix. That could be because the space is not very convenient to put it back. This could be a tiny little thing you ignore or do not recognize but could affect your behaviour. If your purse is new and the space for your card is still a bit too hard, then it would make you feel you would do it later. Then you forget it and later, you struggle to find it at the checkout counter. Or you need to open your bag, look for the purse and search the card among many card. In this case, you need three actions to find the card. If you do this every day, it would not be easy to find the card. Put it back where it was, when it is not easy to do, it is time to think about if you can change it for the better.
