you can keep what you want to

If you have a few things in your place, it is much easier to organise. However, you do not have to give up to have many things you want to. The problem is to keep them at an improperly space. If you use a book at your kitchen then the kitchen must be the best place to keep the book. In this case, it is not a problem if there is the book next to your pans even if it looks a little bit awkward. If you have some old clothes in your wardrobe even though you know you would never put on them then I would say it is not the perfect space to have them. They are clothes and they are in the wardrobe that is supposed to keep the clothes. But you do not use them anymore. That means you do not have to keep them in the wardrobe. Strictly speaking, the wardrobe is supposed to keep the clothes you use daily. It is not supposed to keep the clothes you do not need anymore. The title of this post says 'you can keep what you want to.' So I would never say to give up what you do not put on anymore. But they need some other space to be kept not in your wardrobe.
